Cirali is located right at the extension of Olympos beach which is a very small resort town between the pine forest and a 5 miles long beach. Cirali beach is a protected area, a nesting spot for an endangered Loggerhead Sea Turtles, their nesting sites are carefully covered. camping on the beach or bonfires on the beach is strictly prohibited. Cirali is one of the last unspoiled areas on the Antalya coastline and hikers enjoy the famous 500 km long trail called Lycian way. Following the red and white markers and stone piles can take you past Chimaera, a natural phenomenon, where small flames burst from gaps in the rocks, flickering for thousands of years. you could also take the seaside trail to some of the nearby secluded beaches enjoy a marvellous view over Turkish Mediterranean coastline. The lovely village of Cirali offers its visitors a peaceful retreat
CHIMAERA FLAMES - YANARTAS
Chimaera is a national park which is also known as burning rock These names all relate to flames that blaze non-stop from gaps on the slopes of Mount Olympos. the non-stop flames are a result of methane leak. sailors in ancient times were navigating their boats by using those flames as natural lighthouses. The mountain has over two dozen blowholes and also a temple dedicated to Hephaistos who is the god of fire in Greek mythology
