Last Updated: January 23, 2026 by GoTurkeySail Team
Planning a sailing trip in Turkey is an art of timing and local knowledge. This 7 day Turkey sailing itinerary is not just a list of stops; it is a refined route based on our decades of experience on the Turquoise Coast. Updated for the 2026 season, this guide ensures you visit the most iconic bays—like Butterfly Valley and Ölüdeniz—at the exact moments when the crowds are thin and the water is at its clearest.
[Day 1: Fethiye to St. Nicholas Island] We begin our journey at Fethiye Harbour. After meeting your crew on our traditional gulets, we sail to St. Nicholas Island.
Captain’s Secret: Hike to the top of the island ruins just before sunset for a 360-degree view of the Mediterranean.
[Day 2: Butterfly Valley & Oludeniz] Wake up in the turquoise waters of Butterfly Valley. This is the perfect spot for an early morning swim before the day-trip boats arrive. Later, we cruise to Ölüdeniz (Blue Lagoon) for a chance to paraglide or simply relax on the world-famous beach.
[Day 3: Kalkan & Kaş] As we head towards the charming town of Kaş, we stop at Kalkan for breakfast. Kaş is the heart of the Lycian Way.

[Day 4: Sunken City of Kekova] Today we sail over the Sunken City of Kekova. You can see the ancient Lycian ruins beneath the crystal-clear water from the deck of your boat. We spend the night in the tranquil village of Simena (Kaleköy), famous for its homemade ice cream and medieval castle.
[Day 5: Demre & Gokkaya Bay] From Kekova, we head to Gokkaya Bay, a hub for water sports and hidden caves. For those interested in history, a quick trip to the Church of St. Nicholas in Demre is a must-see.
[Day 6: Liman Agzi & Hidayet Bay] On our way back, we explore the secluded bays around Kaş. Liman Agzi offers some of the best snorkeling opportunities on the coast, where sea turtles are often spotted.
[Day 7: Cold Water Bay & Return to Fethiye] Our final stop is Cold Water Bay, where fresh spring water flows into the sea. It’s the ultimate refreshing swim before we sail back into Fethiye Harbour to conclude our 7 day Turkey sailing tour.
