The Ultimate Sailing Trip Packing List

Once you’ve booked your Sail Turkey tour, all you need to do is to decide what to pack. We know packing is your nightmare. That’s why we have just made this article to make everything easier for you.
Summer is long and hot in Turkey. Even in May or late October, it is still over 30 degrees Celsius. So you need to pack accordingly. While you can easily pack light for a trip like this, there are some items you will definitely want to include. Below we have listed a few things you need to have with you
Comfortable Clothing
You’ll need just a few outfits for casual day activities and dressing up at night.
2 swimsuits recommended. You will spend most of your day in a swimsuit, so you can let one dry and wear the other one.
T-shirts and shorts are perfect for a quick dress up over your swimsuit while you wander the towns
A Sarong is always best for girls. You can use them as a bathrobe, swimsuit cover-up, sleep sheet, or even a towel, you won’t regret having this item.
1 pair of socks which You probably won’t use!
Shoes
1 pair of flip flops or thongs or jandals :) These will be your main footwear for the entire trip for sure. However, you will be barefoot all the time when onboard.
Most of the bars and clubs won’t require a dress code. So a pair of sandals for the girls will be ideal for dressing up an outfit for a night out.
a small pair of sneakers would be handy when you’re hiking for mighty sunsets or exploring the ancient cities along the Turkish coastline.
Toiletries
keep it light! You should get travel-size items. Remember You can easily buy more when you are over here, so don’t go nuts with bringing your entire bathroom from home.
Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash – Travel-size and marine friendly.
Sun protection
While you’re being blown away by the picturesque bays, it’s easy to forget to protect yourself from the sun! Make sure you pack sunscreen - SPF 30+ no less, a hat, and sunglasses.
Medication
Our boats have first aid kits, but it’s always handy to have some medication with you since we will often be out in the pristine bays. Seasick tablets are useful when you feel a bit green, however, the boats are often in calm waters and stop frequently for swimming.
Bandaids, anti-diarrhea tablets, antiseptic cream, headache tablets will be mini items that you can bring with you.
Travel Documents
We know how boring this part is but believe us, experience talks here. Make sure you bring your passport which should have a minimum of 6 months validity and your personal travel insurance documents which will be asked by our staff while checking in. You don’t need to waste a lot of paper to print out the vouchers and other documents that we have sent you but please keep them in your email, When necessary you can show those documents from your phone, Easy!
