Itinerary

Boarding begins at 15:00 at Fethiye Marina, where you will be warmly welcomed aboard by our attentive crew and sailing host. Once you have settled into your private en suite cabin, we set sail along the picturesque Fethiye coastline. A brief introductory cruise brings us to the famous Tarzan Bay, where crystal clear turquoise waters invite you for your very first swim of the trip. As twilight falls over the Mediterranean, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner served open air on deck, followed by a serene first evening stargazing from the foredeck.

Wake up surrounded by the sheltered beauty of the Göcek archipelago. Our gulet glides between secluded islands and pristine coves throughout the day. Dive into the turquoise sea at Cleopatra’s Bath (Hamam Bay) to swim over partially submerged Roman ruins, then anchor at Bedri Rahmi Bay to admire the historic fish motif painted onto the cliff face. In the afternoon, snorkel around the coastal ruins of Tersane (Shipyard) Island before mooring near Göcek town for an evening ashore filled with harbor strolls, local meze tasting, and waterfront dining.

We drop anchor in the wide, peaceful inlet of Ekincik Bay, framed by pine covered hills. The mirror like waters are perfect for a morning swim or paddleboarding directly from the stern platform. Guests seeking an extra touch of adventure can join an optional riverboat excursion through the Dalyan Delta. Navigate reed lined channels to see the ancient Lycian rock tombs carved into the cliffside, visit the mud baths, and walk along protected Turtle Beach (İztuzu). We gather back on the gulet for a relaxing seafood dinner as the sun sets over the sea.

Start your day with an early swim stop in the quiet waters of Kumlubük Bay, with an optional morning hike up to the hilltop ruins of ancient Amos for sweeping views across the coast. Later, we drop anchor at Cennet Adası (Paradise Island) for an afternoon break under the pine trees. By late afternoon, we berth in Marmaris Harbour. Take the evening to explore the Ottoman era caravanserai, wander through old town alleyways, visit Marmaris Castle, or enjoy the vibrant harbor atmosphere.

Departing Marmaris in the morning, we sail toward Kadırga Bay for a refreshing swim stop and a sun soaked afternoon on deck. Later, we head toward Bozukkale, historically known as ancient Loryma, anchoring within its vast, naturally protected harbor. Guests can walk ashore to explore the massive stone walls of the ancient fortress guarding the bay entrance or simply relax onboard as our chef prepares another delicious dinner served under the open sky.

Our morning cruise brings us to Palamutbükü, celebrated for its exceptionally clear waters and pebble beach ideal for a peaceful early morning swim. Next, we sail to the tip of the peninsula to visit ancient Knidos. Step ashore to walk among classical amphitheaters, temple ruins, and ancient harbor walls where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean. By late afternoon, we dock in Datça Harbour, giving you time to explore honey toned stone streets, shop at local boutiques, and enjoy a sunset drink before a quiet overnight stay.

An early morning passage brings us to Kara Ada (Black Island) for a final swim in its mineral rich, deep blue waters before breakfast is served on deck. By late morning, we round the peninsula into Bodrum’s iconic harbor, greeted by views of the medieval Bodrum Castle and whitewashed coastal houses. Spend your final afternoon and evening exploring the old town bazaars, visiting waterfront cafes, or celebrating the conclusion of an unforgettable journey in one of the Riviera's premier yachting hubs.

Savor a final Turkish breakfast on deck followed by morning coffee as you say goodbye to the crew and fellow travelers. Disembarkation takes place at Bodrum Harbour around 09:00. From here, you are perfectly situated to visit the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, explore Bodrum's vibrant center, or continue your travel arrangements across Türkiye and the Aegean islands.

Sailing westbound from Fethiye to Bodrum allows travelers to start their blue cruise surrounded by the quiet, green islets of the Göcek archipelago before navigating toward the open coastline of Datça and the historic harbor of Bodrum. This route is particularly popular with guests flying into Dalaman Airport and departing via Bodrum Milas Airport.

Absolutely. Our small group gulet cruises are designed to welcome independent travelers, couples, and small friend groups alike. Solo travelers can book a private en suite cabin for personal space while sharing social onboard meals, swim breaks, and town excursions with a international group of max 16 guests.

This 8 day passage highlights the sunken bath ruins at Cleopatra’s Bay in Göcek, the ancient Carian city of Knidos overlooking the Aegean, the serene bays of the Datça Peninsula, and the iconic Bodrum Castle guarding the harbor at disembarkation.

This itinerary is designed for travelers who appreciate the rhythmic pace of coastal life, daily swims in pristine coves, and unhurried visits to seaside towns. It is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and friends seeking a sociable, well-balanced Turkey sailing holiday free from a party-boat crowd. If you enjoy boutique small-group travel, value onboard comfort over crowded cruise ships, and feel completely at home on the water, this Sail Turkey journey will be a perfect match.

Boutique Format: Operated on a classic wooden gulet accommodating a maximum of 16 guests, featuring private double or twin en-suite cabins assigned upon booking.
Overnight Comfort: All cabins feature full-night air conditioning, operated in harmony with local environmental standards and marina safety regulations.
Adaptive Navigation: To ensure total safety and a smooth voyage, our captain may fine-tune daily anchorages based on sea conditions, weather, or port traffic.
Excursion Options: The Dalyan Delta and Turtle Beach excursion is entirely optional and can be easily arranged and paid for directly onboard.
Onboard Mobility: Embarkation takes place via marina pontoons and swim stops are enjoyed straight from the yacht's platform, making moderate physical mobility ideal for this route.

Luggage & Attire: Duffel bags or soft-sided luggage are strongly suggested, as traditional hard-shell cases can be challenging to store in compact cabin spaces. Pack breathable summer clothing, swimwear, sun hats, and high-protection sunscreen. A light jacket or layer is handy for cooler spring and autumn evenings.
Footwear & Towels: Barefoot living is the norm onboard, though non-slip deck shoes or sandals are great for moving around safely. Cabin bath towels are provided, but please pack a separate beach towel for swim stops.
Bar Tab & Payments: Onboard bar expenses are recorded throughout the week and settled at the end of your trip. There is no need to carry excess cash onboard; guests typically withdraw funds from local ATMs in Bodrum or Fethiye prior to disembarkation.
Connectivity & Unplugging: While coastal signal is generally reliable near land, Wi-Fi should not be depended upon while navigating at sea. We invite you to view this Turkey blue cruise as a wonderful chance to disconnect and refresh.
Smooth Passage: This itinerary travels largely through sheltered coastal waters, offering a gentle journey even for first-time sailors. If you are sensitive to motion, packing standard travel remedies is always a good idea.
Sustainability Note: Bringing a reusable water bottle is encouraged to help us reduce single-use plastic along the coastline.

It's my second year doing a sailing cruise with Gulet Cruises and I absolutely love it!
The crew is always very good, the food is to die for, the cabins are very clean and large enough if you have to share with someone. There are different spaces where you can relax or sunbathe on the boat, the stops in the different bays are always beautiful and you can go on the land for short excursions in cute villages or climb a hill for a sunset!
Already looking forward to my 3rd trip next year!

We're here for you…
