Itinerary
Your adventure begins at 11:00 AM at Marmaris Harbour as you meet the crew, get acquainted with your cabin, and set out into open waters. Our initial destination is Cennet Adası (Paradise Island), a serene pine draped retreat just outside the main bay, perfect for your inaugural dip into the Mediterranean. As the afternoon unfolds, we navigate south toward the sweeping, peaceful cove of Kumlubük. Here, energetic travelers can follow a scenic trail up to the hilltop ruins of ancient Amos to take in wide views across the gulf. As dusk falls, enjoy a freshly cooked outdoor dinner on deck and settle into the quiet rhythm of life on the water.
Following a smooth morning cruise along the coast, we pull into the sheltered, forest backed waters of Ekincik Bay. The afternoon is yours to relax on deck, swim off the stern platform, or paddleboard across the calm bay. If you are eager for onshore culture, step aboard a local riverboat for an optional journey into the reed channels of the Dalyan Delta. This popular detour glides past the ancient Lycian cliff tombs, pauses at protected Turtle Beach (İztuzu), and includes a visit to the region's famous mineral mud baths. Rejoin the gulet in the evening for a relaxing sunset dinner anchored in the quiet cove.
Today is all about navigating the island-filled maze of Göcek Bay. We start at Tersane (Shipyard) Island, an inlet rich in history where you can snorkel over submerged Byzantine stone walls. Moving deeper into the archipelago, we stop at Bedri Rahmi Bay to view the iconic rock-carved fish art framed by olive groves and turquoise water. Our final swim stop of the day brings us to Cleopatra’s Bath (Hamam Bay), where ancient stone ruins sit partially underwater in a sheltered inlet. By late afternoon, we moor near the stylish harbor town of Göcek, leaving the evening free for you to explore local artisan shops, stroll along the promenade, and enjoy seaside dining ashore.
On our final full day at sea, we navigate into the broad gulf of Fethiye, making our first stop at Kızılada (Red Island) to swim near its historic lighthouse. After a light lunch on board, we move over to Tarzan Bay, a favorite local anchorage known for deep blue waters and natural rope swings suspended over the sea an ideal setting for a final, playful afternoon in the water. By early evening, the gulet docks at Fethiye Marina. The night is yours to explore Fethiye's lively old town, wander through the fish market, or enjoy a farewell drink with your crew and travel companions along the harborfront.
Enjoy a final group breakfast on the deck as the morning sun lights up Fethiye Marina. Check out and disembarkation take place around 09:00 AM. It's my second year doing a sailing cruise with Gulet Cruises and I absolutely love it!
The crew is always very good, the food is to die for, the cabins are very clean and large enough if you have to share with someone. There are different spaces where you can relax or sunbathe on the boat, the stops in the different bays are always beautiful and you can go on the land for short excursions in cute villages or climb a hill for a sunset!
Already looking forward to my 3rd trip next year!
