Fethiye to Olympos Yacht Holiday in Turkey: Epic Sailing Voyage Along the Lycian Coast
Trace the ancient sea paths of the Mediterranean on our 3 night Fethiye to Olympos gulet cruise. Traveling one-way along the rugged Lycian shore, this journey weaves together pristine nature and centuries of history from floating above sunken ruins in Kekova and climbing to the hilltop castle of Simena to exploring the vibrant harbor lanes of Kaş and diving into the clear waters of Butterfly Valley. Finishing with an easy onward transfer from Demre toward Olympos, this expedition offers an unbeatable mix of coastal discovery and relaxed gulet living.
Planning a short coastal getaway in Türkiye? The best 3 night Turkey gulet cruise from Fethiye to Demre replaces repetitive sailing loops with a continuous voyage across one of the Mediterranean's most historic maritime passages.
This short sea voyage connects iconic natural landmarks with ancient history. After departing Fethiye, you sail past pine-cloaked headlands to swim in the glass-like waters of Ölüdeniz and explore St. Nicholas Island. Further east, the journey pauses for a relaxed afternoon in the bohemian port town of Kaş before reaching the quiet, crystal-clear bay of Kekova to view underwater sarcophagi right from the deck.
The entire trip is engineered for maximum convenience: once you disembark at Demre Çayağzı Harbour, an included private shuttle transfers you straight into Olympos, making it an ideal option for solo travelers and couples looking for an affordable Fethiye to Olympos sailing tour.
Onboard, we prioritize space, relaxation, and boutique hospitality. Guest numbers are kept small so everyone can spread out on the bow cushions or relax in the shade. Every private cabin features an en suite bathroom, and continuous overnight air conditioning ensures complete comfort after long hours under the sun setting a new standard for budget friendly blue cruises in Turkey.

Itinerary
Your adventure starts at Fethiye Harbour with embarkation at 10:30 AM (sailing at 11:30 AM). Once onboard, meet your crew, settle into your cabin, and enjoy a quick welcome briefing as we cast off. Our first coastal stop brings us to the turquoise shores of Ölüdeniz. Take your initial swim in the clear lagoon or try paddleboarding across the bay. Adrenaline lovers can opt for a tandem paragliding jump off Mount Babadağ, soaring over the coastline before touching down on the beach to rejoin the yacht. By late afternoon, we drop anchor near St. Nicholas (Gemiler) Island. Take a brief walk up the hillside to explore early Christian church ruins while watching the sun dip into the sea. Dinner is served family style on deck as night falls.
Start your morning with an early jump into the calm, glassy waters of Aquarium Bay, followed by a fresh breakfast served on deck. We then chart a course toward Hidayet Bay, a pine sheltered cove renowned for vibrant underwater life where loggerhead sea turtles frequently feed. After lunch on the water, we dock in the bohemian harbor of Kaş. Spend the afternoon wandering through cobblestone streets framed by bougainvillea, browsing local boutiques, or taking in the sea views from the ancient Hellenistic theater. Certified divers can also choose an optional afternoon excursion to explore the local underwater reefs and wreck sites.
Following breakfast on board, we enter the serene, protected waters surrounding Kekova Island. Our gulet cruises slowly beside the shoreline, giving you a clear view of 2nd century Lycian stone staircases and foundations partially submerged beneath the turquoise water. Across the bay lies the car free village of Kaleköy (Simena). Hike up the winding paths to its hilltop Byzantine castle for sweeping, 360 degree views across the island archipelago. In the late afternoon, we anchor in the sheltered waters of Gökkaya Bay for a peaceful seafood dinner under the open sky.
Enjoy a final group breakfast as we make our brief morning passage toward Demre Çayağzı Harbour, arriving around 10:00 AM. After saying goodbye to your captain and crew, your coastal journey shifts to land. An included shuttle bus carries you directly to the forested valley of Olympos (roughly a 90-minute scenic drive). Alternatively, transfers can drop you at the local Demre bus terminal for easy transport links toward Antalya, Kaş, or back to Fethiye.

Overnight Climate Control: Every private cabin includes guaranteed full-night air conditioning, giving you a cool and peaceful night's rest after long days in the Mediterranean sun.
Safety-First Navigation: Sea conditions guide our daily flow; your captain may fine-tune specific anchorages or stopover times to ensure optimal comfort and smooth sailing.
Protected Archaeological Zones: The Sunken City of Kekova is a protected heritage site. While swimming directly over submerged ruins is prohibited, our gulet sails closely alongside them, with dedicated swim stops nearby.
Third-Party Adventure Options: Optional excursions like tandem paragliding in Ölüdeniz or scuba diving in Kaş are operated by certified local providers and can be booked directly on site.
Seamless Land Connection: Disembarkation takes place at Demre Çayağzı Harbour, where our included shuttle service takes you directly to Olympos or drops you at the regional bus terminal.
Embarkation & Disembarkation: Boarding begins at 10:30 AM at Fethiye Harbour on Day 1 (sailing at 11:30 AM). The tour concludes around 10:00 AM at Demre Çayağzı Harbour on Day 4.
Luggage & Packing: Cabins are thoughtfully designed for efficiency. Soft duffel bags or collapsible backpacks are strongly recommended over rigid, hard-shell suitcases.
Sun Protection & Essentials: Expect daily swims and constant sun. Pack high-factor reef-safe sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and multiple sets of swimwear.
Power & Adapters: Cabins feature standard European 220V (Type C/F) outlets. Guests traveling from the UK, US, or Australia should bring a universal adapter to keep devices charged.
Bar Tab & Financials: Onboard drinks are logged on your personal tab and settled at the end of the trip. ATM facilities are easily accessible during our stop in Kaş. Port tax (€45 per person) is collected in cash at check-in.
Deck Etiquette & Connectivity: Onboard living is strictly barefoot to protect the wooden decks—a sturdy pair of sandals is all you need for dock walks ashore. Mobile signal is strong near Kaş and mainland ports, though brief dead zones occur while navigating open bays.

It's my second year doing a sailing cruise with Gulet Cruises and I absolutely love it!
The crew is always very good, the food is to die for, the cabins are very clean and large enough if you have to share with someone. There are different spaces where you can relax or sunbathe on the boat, the stops in the different bays are always beautiful and you can go on the land for short excursions in cute villages or climb a hill for a sunset!
Already looking forward to my 3rd trip next year!
